The auto show turntable above was created using a 20′ Standard automobile turntable and a custom aluminum-built surround. Built by MDS, the surround ties into overall feel of the trade show layout. The vehicle turntable display was a key component of a press-event exhibit kit.


The 40′ diameter motion display shown above was created using a 20′ Standard automobile turntable, aluminum staging, and three rotating rings. The center car turntable rotated Chevrolet’s plug-in concept vehicle, The Volt, while three concentric rings, supporting curved LED walls, rotated in opposite directions. A wood constructed surround an curved glass partitions were employed to deter attendees from climbing onto the display. The display was part of Chevrolet’s 2007 LA Auto Show exhibit as well as the main stage of its press event.
The auto show display kit was created using one 14′ purpose-built automobile turntable and an aluminum-built raised flooring system. The turntable included a variable speed controller, instant reverse, and a three-quarter horsepower motor drive assembly. A total of two auto show exhibit kits were built, each featuring one car turntable display. The turntables traveled to more than thirty shows annually, for a grand total of six thousand plus hours of operation.

The surrounds with a vacuum-formed faux-stone facade and a light-box header tower featuring the Suzuki logo. This autoshow display was created using a 20′ Standard car turntable with a custom surround and back-wall created by our sister company, MDS Exhibits. The surround was constructed from wood,brushed aluminum, specialty and included a tempered glass partition. This car turntable traveled to more than thirty auto shows annually, for a grand total of three thousand hours of operation.
